#FactCheck: AI-Manipulated Video Falsely Shows Ravish Kumar Criticising CJP, AAP Leaders
Executive Summary
A video of journalist Ravish Kumar is being widely shared on social media. The video is being circulated with the claim that Kumar criticised Abhijeet Deepak, the CJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders over the CJP’s alleged absence from the ongoing student protest in Jharkhand. The CyberPeace Research Wing found the claim to be false. The research established that the original video of Ravish Kumar was digitally manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI), and altered audio was added before it was shared with a misleading claim.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared the viral video on August 7, 2026, with the caption: “Ravish Kumar has brain fever. CJP is exposing the leaders’ true colors.”

Factcheck
To verify the claim, we extracted several keyframes from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search using Google Lens. During the search, we found a video uploaded on Ravish Kumar’s official YouTube channel on July 29, 2026.
The visuals in the original video match those seen in the viral clip. Ravish Kumar can be seen wearing the same clothes and appearing in almost the same frame as in the viral video.

In the next step, we analysed the viral video using Hive Moderation. The tool indicated a 97 per cent probability that the video was AI-generated.

Conclusion
The research found that the viral claim is false. The visuals are taken from a genuine video of Ravish Kumar, but the original footage has been digitally manipulated and altered audio has been added using AI. The modified video is being circulated with a misleading claim that Kumar criticised Abhijeet Deepak, CJP and AAP leaders over the Jharkhand student protest.

WormGPT is notable for its ability to produce highly convincing and personalised email content, making it a potent tool in the hands of cybercriminals.
How WormGPT Works
1. Training Data: Here the WormGPT is trained with the arrays of data sets, like emails, articles, and other writing material. This extensive training enables it to understand and to mimic different writing styles and recognizable textual content.
2. Generative Capabilities: Upon training, WormGPT can then generate text based on specific prompts, as in the following examples in response to prompts. For example, if a cybercriminal comes up with a prompt concerning the company’s financial information, WormGPT is capable of releasing an appearance of a genuine email asking for more details.
3. Customization: WormGPT can be retrained any time with an industry or an organisation of interest in mind. This customization enables the attackers to make their emails resemble the business activities of the target thus enhancing the chances for an attack to succeed.
Enhanced Phishing Techniques
Traditional phishing emails are often identifiable by their generic and unconvincing content. WormGPT improves upon this by generating highly personalised and contextually accurate emails. This personalization makes it harder for recipients to identify malicious intent.

The research revealed that the viral video was digitally manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI), and the voice heard in the video is not authentic.

Fact Check
To verify the viral claim, we searched the internet using relevant keywords including “General Dhiraj Seth statement on Operation Sindoor”, “Operation Sindoor martyrs”, and “dead bodies hidden.” However, we did not find any credible media report stating that Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth made the remarks attributed to him in the viral video. We also checked the official social media handles of the Indian Army, but found no official statement or information supporting the viral claim. During the research, several keyframes from the viral video were extracted and analysed through reverse image search. The search led us to an ANI report published on July 1, 2026, whose watermark is also visible in the viral video. The original footage shows General Dhiraj Seth addressing the public after assuming charge as the Chief of Army Staff. We carefully reviewed General Dhiraj Seth’s entire address but found no mention of hiding the bodies of martyred soldiers or any statement related to the viral claim. The same address was also shared on the official platform of the Indian Army. The video review confirmed that it does not contain any such remarks.

During the analysis, it was also observed that the name tag on General Dhiraj Seth’s uniform appears distorted in several frames. Such inconsistencies are commonly seen in AI-generated or digitally manipulated videos. To verify the authenticity of the video, we analysed it using multiple AI detection tools. The results from all the tools were consistent. Hive Moderation’s analysis indicated a high probability that the viral media contains AI-generated or deepfake content.

Undetectable AI’s analysis also concluded that the voice heard in the viral video was likely generated using artificial intelligence (AI).

Conclusion
Our research found that the viral video is not authentic. There is no evidence that Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth ever accused the previous military leadership of concealing the bodies of soldiers martyred during Operation Sindoor. The video has been digitally manipulated, and the claim being circulated on social media is misleading.

A Facebook user shared the viral video on July 26, 2026, claiming that a snake was spotted on an aircraft during a flight, causing panic. The post stated, “Snake spotted on aircraft during flight, video goes viral!”

Factcheck
To verify the authenticity of the viral video, the Desk analysed several key frames from the footage and conducted a reverse image search.
However, no credible news report, official information, or reliable source was found linking the video to any real incident involving a snake on an aircraft during a flight.
Upon closely examining the video, the Desk suspected that it may have been generated using AI. To verify this, the video was analysed using the AI detection tool HIVE Moderation. The tool’s analysis also indicated that the video was likely AI-generated, suggesting that it does not depict an actual incident.

As part of further verification, the key frames of the video were also examined using another AI detection tool, Sightengine. The tool’s analysis indicated a 99 per cent probability that the visuals were AI-generated.

Conclusion:
The research established that the viral video does not show a real incident of a snake crawling on an aircraft wing during a flight. The video was created using artificial intelligence (AI) and is being circulated on social media with a misleading claim.
