#FactCheck- Viral AI Video Falsely Claims to Show Newborn Babies Being Rescued During Assam Floods

A video is being widely shared on social media with the claim that it shows the recent Assam floods, where nurses are rescuing newborn babies after water entered a hospital. The caption accompanying the viral video claims that the babies are not drowning; instead, healthcare workers and rescue teams are carrying them to safety amid floodwaters inside a hospital. It further states that the video shows humanity and courage during a time of crisis. CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found the claim to be false. The research revealed that the viral video showing healthcare workers rescuing newborn babies is not real but was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Claim:
An Instagram user named kamlakritika shared the video and claimed that it showed the Assam floods. The post stated that the babies were not drowning but were being rescued by healthcare workers and rescue teams from a flooded hospital. In the viral video, several nurses can be seen running through waterlogged areas while trying to protect incubators — containers used to keep newborn babies — from being submerged or swept away. According to the caption, a devastating flood had turned the entire area into a disaster zone. It claimed that incubators containing premature newborn babies were floating in floodwaters, while nurses were running behind them amid strong water currents to save the infants. The caption further claimed that several incubators were overturning and sinking with babies inside, putting hundreds of fragile lives at risk.

Factcheck
To verify the claim, CyberPeace Research Wing conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. During the search, the video was found shared by several other Instagram accounts. During the research, we found a report published by News18 on August 1, 2026. Although the report was related to the Assam floods, it mentioned a different incident. According to the report, a viral video showed floodwaters surrounding houses, with water spread across the area. In the video, a rescue team member can be seen carefully carrying a newborn baby in his arms through the flooded area and handing the child over to another rescue worker near a boat so that the baby could be taken to safety.
However, during our research, we could not find any information from credible news organisations or official sources confirming the viral video showing newborn babies being rescued in incubators. As part of further research, we closely examined the viral video and noticed several indications suggesting that it could be AI-generated. The video was then analysed using the AI detection tool FauxLens, which indicated that the video was approximately 75% AI-generated.
To further verify the authenticity of the video, we also analysed it using another AI detection tool, Human Meter. The tool showed an 85% probability of the video being generated with the help of AI.
Conclusion:
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found that the viral video claiming to show nurses rescuing newborn babies during Assam floods is false. The video is not an actual incident but an AI-generated creation.

A video clip of journalist Palki Sharma is being widely shared on social media. Along with the video, it is being claimed that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent Middle East visit, she questioned Jordan’s diplomatic protocol.
In the viral clip, Palki Sharma is allegedly seen asking why Jordan’s King Abdullah II did not come to the airport to receive Prime Minister Modi, and whether this indicated a downgrade in the level of welcome.
However, an investigation by the Cyber Peace Foundation found this claim to be misleading. The probe revealed that while the visuals in the viral video are genuine, the audio has been altered using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
On the social media platform ‘X’, a user named “Ammar Solangi” shared this video on 18 December. The post claimed that the video was related to questions raised about Jordan’s diplomatic protocol during Prime Minister Modi’s visit. According to the post, Palki Sharma questioned why King Abdullah II did not receive Prime Minister Modi at the airport. Verification
During the investigation, the fact-check desk noticed the ‘Firstpost’ logo in the top-left corner of the viral video. Based on this clue, a customized Google search was conducted, which led to the original news report.
The investigation revealed that the viral video was taken from an episode of journalist Palki Sharma’s show “Vantage with Palki Sharma”, which aired on 17 December.
Analysis of the video showed that the visuals appearing at the 33 minutes 30 seconds timestamp in the original report exactly match those used in the viral clip. However, in the original broadcast, Palki Sharma neither questioned Jordan’s protocol nor made any comment about King Abdullah II not being present at the airport.

AI Audio Examination
Further investigation involved separating the audio from the viral video and analyzing it using the AI voice detection tool ‘Resemble AI’. The tool’s results confirmed that fake, AI-generated audio had been added over the real footage in the viral clip to spread a misleading claim. A screenshot of the results from this examination can be seen below.
Conclusion
The video being circulated in the name of journalist Palki Sharma has been tampered with. Her voice has been altered using AI technology, and the claim made regarding the Jordan visit is completely misleading.

It dates back to October 2022, when Salman Khan congratulated actor Chiranjeevi on the release of his film GodFather. Salman Khan did not make any such statement following Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The viral claim is false.

Fact Check
To verify the claim, we extracted keyframes from the viral video and performed a reverse image search using Google Lens. The search led us to a longer version of the same video uploaded on October 5, 2022, on Salman Khan’s official Instagram account, @beingsalmankhan.
In the original video, Salman Khan is congratulating veteran actor Chiranjeevi on the success of his film GodFather. He says, “My dear Chiru Garu, I love you very much. I have heard that GodFather is doing extremely well. Congratulations and may God bless you. Do you know why, Chiru Garu? Because this country and its people are truly strong.”

As part of our research , we also reviewed Salman Khan’s recent Instagram posts. We found a post published on July 23, 2026, in which he appealed to students and their parents amid the paper leak controversy. In the post, he urged students not to worry, expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would ensure strict action against those responsible, and appealed to protesters to return home peacefully.

However, none of Salman Khan’s recent posts contain any statement linking him to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
Conclusion
Our research found that the viral video is from October 2022, when Salman Khan congratulated Chiranjeevi on the success of GodFather. The clip has been taken out of context and falsely linked to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in July 2026. Salman Khan did not make any such statement after the minister stepped down. Therefore, the viral claim is false.

Users shared a photo purportedly showing Cole Thomas Allen with Priyanka Rao, along with an alleged Indian passport in her name. One user posted the image with the caption: “31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen with his Indian wife Priyanka Rao. Why do they always have three names?”
However, research by the CyberPeace Research Wing found the claim to be fake. The viral passport and accompanying image appear to be AI-generated.
Claim:
Social media users claimed that Cole Thomas Allen, accused in the WHCA dinner shooting, is married to an Indian woman named Priyanka Rao.
Fact Check:
During the research, multiple inconsistencies were found in the viral passport image, strongly indicating it is fabricated. A close review of the document revealed several obvious errors commonly seen in AI-generated content. For instance, in the “Nationality” field, the name “Cole Thomas Allen” was written instead of a country name. Such a basic mistake would not appear in any genuine government-issued passport.
The Hindi text on the document was also highly inaccurate and unnatural. Examples included:
- “राष्ट्रीयता” misspelled as “राष्ट्रीयाय”
- “जन्मतिथि” replaced with meaningless text
- “जन्म स्थान” incorrectly written
- “Issue” mistranslated as unrelated wording
- “Date of Expiry” left untranslated in Hindi format
Further analysis using an AI detection tool indicated that the viral passport image had a 69 percent probability of being AI-generated.
Conclusion:
The claim that WHCA dinner shooting accused Cole Thomas Allen has an Indian wife named Priyanka Rao is fake. The viral passport and image being shared online are likely AI-generated and part of a misinformation campaign.
