The video is being shared with claims that the player pulled off the extraordinary catch in an incredible feat on the cricket field. Research by CyberPeace found the viral claim to be false. Our research revealed that the viral video was edited with the help of AI. The video uses actual broadcast footage from the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup match between India and New Zealand, but the 360-degree catch shown in the video was not part of the actual match.
Claim:
A video of a female cricketer making an incredible 360-degree catch is being shared on social media as a real incident from a cricket match.

Fact Check
To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. However, we did not find any credible media reports confirming the claim.
As part of the next step in our research, we conducted a reverse image search of the keyframes from the video. During the search, we found the same video on a YouTube channel, where it was identified as AI-generated.
As the next step, we scanned the viral video using the AI detection tool Hive Moderation. According to the tool’s results, there is a 70 percent probability that the video is AI-generated.

Fact Check:
To verify the authenticity of the claim, we extracted key frames from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search using Google Lens. During the research, we found the original version of the video published on the website of Aaj Tak on February 16, 2026. In the original report, the anchor is only seen reporting on Bhupen Bora’s resignation from the party. The report does not mention any alleged financial transaction or political deal, contrary to the claims made in the viral clip.
In the next stage of the research, the viral video was analysed using the AI detection tool AURGIN AI, which identified the video as AI-generated.
Conclusion
Our research found that users had manipulated the original news broadcast using AI and shared it with misleading claims. The viral clip does not show any real financial deal between Bhupen Bora and the Assam Chief Minister.

The video is accompanied by the claim that Baba Ramdev said the following about Prime Minister Narendra Modi: “Modi ji should now respectfully step down. This is not a favourable time for him, and the coming period will be unfavourable for both the country and him.” In the viral video, he can also allegedly be heard saying, “People had hoped for change, but instead of change, destruction has begun.” A research done by the Research Wing of the CyberPeace found the claim accompanying the viral video to be false. The research revealed that the viral clip is AI-generated.
Claim:
A Facebook user shared the viral video on August 25, 2026, with the caption: **“Modi ji should now respectfully step down. This is not a favourable time for him, and the coming period will be unfavourable for both the country and him. People had hoped for change, but instead of change, destruction has begun.”**

FactCheck:
To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we searched Google using relevant keywords. During the search, we did not find any credible media report corroborating the claim. As part of the research, we also scanned the viral video using the AI detection tool HIVE Moderation. According to the tool’s analysis, there was a 99 per cent likelihood that the voice in the viral video was AI-generated.
Additionally, we scanned the viral video using another AI detection tool, Detect AI. According to the tool’s analysis, there was a 71 per cent likelihood that the viral video was AI-generated.
Conclusion:
Our research found the claim accompanying the viral video to be false. The research revealed that the viral clip is AI-generated.

India faces sustainability challenges which are mainly associated with issues such as urban congestion, the rising demand for energy along with climate change and environmental degradation. The need is to initiate targeted policies that promote research and development in AI and digital twin technologies, skill development and partnerships with the private sector, think tanks, nonprofits and others. Also, collaborations at the global level would include aligning our domestic policies with global AI and sustainability initiatives and leveraging the international frameworks for climate tech and smart infrastructure.

As part of specific actions, policymakers need to engage in proactive governance to ensure the responsible use and development of AI. This includes enacting incentive schemes for sustainable AI projects and strengthening the enforcement of data privacy laws. Industry leaders must support equitable access to AI and digital twin technologies and develop tailored AI tools for resource-constrained settings, particularly in India. Finally, researchers need to drive innovation in alignment with sustainability goals, such as those related to agriculture and groundwater management.
