To verify the viral claim, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the video. During this process, we found the video on Instagram. The text “BSF Wives Welfare Association” was visible on the backdrop behind the stage. However, there was no mention of Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth anywhere in the video.

In the final stage of our research, we found a report on an Instagram account named ‘nepalinlast24hours’. According to the report, Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth arrived in Kathmandu on his first foreign visit after taking command of the Indian Army on June 30, 2026. He was welcomed by senior Nepal Army officials at Tribhuvan International Airport.
The report stated that during his four-day visit, General Seth was scheduled to meet Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah and Nepal Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel. Additionally, he was scheduled to be conferred with the honorary rank of General of the Nepal Army at a special ceremony at Sheetal Niwas on Monday.This tradition between India and Nepal dates back to 1950. Under the arrangement, the army chiefs of both countries are conferred with honorary military ranks in each other’s armies.

We conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video. During the search, we found a report published on the Dainik Bhaskar website on February 23, 2022, which featured the same video. According to the report, polling in Sonbhadra was scheduled for March 7 as part of the seventh phase of the Assembly elections. During the election campaign, Bhupesh Chaubey, the BJP MLA and candidate from the Robertsganj Assembly constituency, was seen adopting an unusual approach. He stood on a chair, held his ears and performed sit-ups on the chair, apologising to the public for the mistakes he had made over the previous five years.The link to the report and a screenshot are provided below.
In the next stage of our research, we found a report published on ABP News’ Hindi website on February 25, 2022, which featured the viral video in a general context. We found the same video in this report as well. The link to the report and a screenshot are provided below.

To verify the viral claim, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. During the search, we did not find any credible media reports related to the claim. A reverse image search and a search using relevant keywords revealed that the event shown in the video was the birthday celebration of fashion designer Lalit Singh. Lalit Singh had shared several photographs from his birthday celebration held in Gurugram on social media, and the visuals in those photographs matched those seen in the viral video.

On the channel, Lalit Singh regularly shares videos related to similar birthday celebrations and other private events. This further confirms that the claim linking the viral video to a birthday party hosted by the son of India’s Chief of Defence Staff is false and fabricated.

The claim that the video shows an incident in which a woman slapped an Army soldier in response to being followed or harassed by him is misleading.

To verify the viral claim, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. However, we did not find any credible media reports related to the claim.To further verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we conducted a reverse image search of the keyframes of the video. During the search, we found the same video on the NDTV website, which was published on September 15, 2017. According to the NDTV report, a woman in New Delhi was caught on camera repeatedly slapping an Army personnel. The soldier did not appear to retaliate during the incident. Following a complaint by the Army to the Delhi Police, the woman was arrested. However, she was released within a few hours after a judge granted her bail. The report stated that in a video recorded by a witness on a mobile phone in South Delhi’s Vasant Kunj the previous Saturday, 44-year-old Smriti Kalra was seen repeatedly slapping the soldier on the face before walking angrily towards her car. The soldier appeared to be trying to reason with her while attempting to defend himself against the assault.Smriti Kalra, a resident of Gurgaon, had stopped her Tata Indica car in front of an Army truck carrying soldiers. At first glance, the incident appeared to be a case of road rage, although there was no reported collision or any obvious provocation for the attack.Smriti Kalra, who was divorced, was charged with causing hurt to deter a public servant from performing his duty. She was also accused of obstructing and assaulting a public servant on duty and wrongfully restraining him. Police seized her car.
In the next stage of our research, we found a report on the Aaj Tak website related to the incident, which also featured the viral video. The report included an exclusive interview with the Army personnel involved in the incident. He was identified as Mahavir Singh, who was serving as a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Army at the time.
In an exclusive interview with Aaj Tak, Mahavir Singh said that he was deeply saddened by the incident. He questioned how anyone could behave in such a manner with Indian Army personnel, abuse them, or slap them. He said that the Army vehicle was moving slowly when a car suddenly came in front of it and started driving ahead of them. A woman was the only person in the car, and she was allegedly driving in a zigzag manner in front of the Army vehicle.
Conclusion
Our research found that the viral video is being shared with a misleading context. The video is not from a recent incident but from a road rage incident that took place in the Vasant Kunj-Rajokari Flyover area of South Delhi in September 2017. According to available media reports, the woman had allegedly misbehaved with Army personnel and slapped one of the soldiers during the incident. Mahavir Singh, who was serving as a JCO in the Army at the time, also spoke to the media about the incident. Our research found no credible information confirming that the Army personnel had followed or harassed the woman. Therefore, the claim that the video from the 2017 incident shows a woman slapping a soldier in response to being allegedly followed or harassed by him is misleading.

A social media user shared the viral video with the caption: “A video has surfaced showing the alleged mistreatment of a young man selling bhelpuri at Patna Junction railway station. It is alleged that some people misbehaved with the vendor after eating bhelpuri and put bhelpuri into his mouth. Why should a poor, hardworking person be treated this way? The Bihar government and the concerned railway authorities should investigate the video and take appropriate action. Samrat Choudhary ji, please also look into this incident reported at Patna railway station.”

To verify the truth behind the video being shared with the claim that a bhelpuri vendor was assaulted, we conducted a reverse image search of its keyframes. During the search, we found a video uploaded on September 18 on the Facebook account of a user identified as Sonu Paswan. The person seen assaulting the vendor in the viral clip can also be seen in this video. In the video, he explains that the viral clip was scripted and was recorded solely for entertainment purposes. He appeals to people not to take the video seriously or share it further. He also says that after the video went viral, he had to delete several videos, due to which much of his effort went to waste.

Additionally, upon examining Sonu Paswan’s Facebook account, we found several other videos in which the same two men seen in the viral video can be seen acting together in different situations.
Additionally, we found a video uploaded on Sonu Paswan’s Instagram account on September 18. In the video, he explains that the person selling bhelpuri/bhujia in the viral clip is Sonu Kumar, while the person seen assaulting him is a member of their team. Sonu Kumar says in the video that they work together to create videos on poverty and emotional issues. He also appeals to people to watch the viral clip as entertainment and not share it further. This makes it clear that the viral video is scripted.

Swatantra Bhardwaj came into the spotlight following an alleged assault involving the father of a protester during a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar. Social media posts claim that the video was recorded immediately after his release from jail and shows him openly threatening people. CyberPeace Research Wing’s Research found the viral claim to be false. Our Research revealed that the video being shared on social media is old. Swatantra Bhardwaj was released from jail on September 17, while our Research found that the video has been available online since June. Therefore, the claim that the video was recorded immediately after Bhardwaj’s release from jail is misleading.

To verify the date of Swatantra Bhardwaj’s release from jail, we searched Google using relevant keywords. During the search, we found a report published by Aaj Tak on September 18, 2026. According to the report, social media influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj, who came into the spotlight following an alleged assault during a protest at Jantar Mantar, was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail on September 17, 2026, after being granted bail by the court and completing the necessary legal formalities. Soon after walking out of the main gate of the jail, he ran towards a taxi and left without speaking to the media personnel present there. The post link and screenshot are provided below.

The video claims that India is fulfilling its defence export commitments despite allegations concerning the supply of small arms, ammunition and military vehicles to Israel since October 2023, including shipments by government-owned companies. CyberPeace Research Wing found that Permanent Representative of India to the UN Parvathaneni Harish did not make any such statement at the UNSC. His AI-manipulated video is being circulated on social media with a misleading claim.

Fact Check
To investigate the video, we first converted it into keyframes and then conducted a reverse image search of those frames using Google Lens. We found the original video posted on the official X handle of the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations. The post was accompanied by the caption: “#IndiaAtUN Statement by Permanent Representative Parvathaneni Harish at the quarterly UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan.” We reviewed Parvathaneni Harish’s complete statement but found no such remarks as those shown in the video being circulated on social media. In his address, Harish did not make any reference to supplying weapons to Israel.

Our investigation found that Parvathaneni Harish, Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, had issued a statement on the situation in Afghanistan and India-Afghanistan relations. We also found the text version of his statement on the official website of the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations. In his statement, Harish referred to the historical ties between India and Afghanistan, noting that the relationship between the two countries predates modern maps and borders. He also spoke about India’s policy towards Afghanistan and its commitment to peace, stability and prosperity. In addition, he highlighted India’s participation in the meetings of the Doha Contact Group, its strong bilateral development partnership with Afghanistan, and its efforts through regional initiatives. However, a review of Harish’s complete statement shows that it contains no remarks resembling those attributed to him in the video being shared on social media. His official statement also makes no mention of India’s alleged supply of weapons to Israel or the 2,596 shipments cited by Amnesty International. This establishes that the video being circulated on social media is presenting Harish’s actual statement in a misleading context.

Our research found that Parvathaneni Harish, Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, did not make the statement attributed to him in the video being circulated on social media. His official statement at the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan focused on India-Afghanistan relations, peace, stability, development cooperation and regional initiatives, and contained no reference to India supplying weapons to Israel or to the 2,596 shipments mentioned in the viral video.
Further analysis by Hive Moderation found a 97% probability that the speech used in the video was AI-generated, while the visuals showed no signs of manipulation. These findings indicate that the video has been digitally manipulated by replacing or altering the original speech and is being presented with a misleading claim.Therefore, the claim that Parvathaneni Harish defended India’s alleged supply of weapons to Israel during a UNSC meeting is false and misleading.

To verify the viral claim, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. During the search, we found a report published on The Times of India website on September 16, 2026. According to the report, suspected militants attacked a hill village in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district on Tuesday night and set at least two houses on fire. Security forces engaged the attackers in an exchange of fire during the incident.According to officials, a large number of militants armed with sophisticated weapons attacked Chawangkining Naga village at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The attack took place hours after two Kuki women were shot dead at Leisangphai village in neighbouring Tamenglong district.CRPF personnel deployed in the nearby area returned fire, triggering intermittent firing that continued for nearly six hours until around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday.An official said, “Intermittent firing was reported for nearly six hours till 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The CRPF returned fire, preventing the militants from entering the village.” He added that two wooden houses on the outskirts of the village were nevertheless set ablaze.
As part of our further investigation, we conducted a reverse image search of keyframes from the video. During the search, we found the visuals from the viral video on the YouTube channel of @ukhrultimes. According to the accompanying information, intermittent firing continued for nearly six hours in Chawangkining Naga village in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district on the night of September 15, 2026. During the incident, two houses on the outskirts of the village were completely burnt down, while several others were damaged.According to local reports, suspected militants targeted the village despite the deployment of CRPF personnel in the area and engaged in an exchange of fire with security forces. Meanwhile, the Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur (LNC-M), condemned the attack and alleged that suspected Kuki militants operating from the Songtung Suspension of Operations (SoO) camp were behind the firing. However, these allegations regarding the identity of the attackers should be reported as allegations and should not be presented as independently verified facts.

The report quoted an official as saying that a large number of militants armed with sophisticated weapons attacked the village at around 10:30 p.m. on September 15. Our investigation revealed that separate incidents of the killing of two women and the burning of their houses in Manipur are being falsely shared on social media, claiming them to be actions taken by the Indian Army. According to available reports, on September 15, 2026, two Kuki women were shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in Leisangphai village, Tamenglong district. On the same night, suspected militants attacked Chawangkining Naga village, Kangpokpi district. Security forces exchanged fire, and two houses on the outskirts of the village were set on fire. No credible report has confirmed the links between these incidents and the orders of the Indian Army or Eastern Command Commander Lieutenant General V.M. Bhuvana Krishnan. Therefore, the claim that the Indian Army shot two women and set their houses on fire by linking the two incidents is false and misleading.

However, we did not find any credible report confirming General Anil Chauhan’s arrest in connection with a 51.5-kg drug case. Therefore, the claim being shared on social media is misleading and false. Furthermore, according to the available information, the video is related to the December 2021 terrorist attack on a Jammu and Kashmir Police bus in the Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar.

Fact Check:
To verify the viral claim, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. During the search, we did not find any credible media report supporting the claim. As part of our research, we conducted a reverse image search of keyframes from the video. During the search, we found the same video on the Facebook page of The Kashmir Today, where it was posted on December 13, 2021. The 58-second video also contains the portion seen in the viral video in its final six seconds. According to the information accompanying the video, militants attacked a police bus near Aripora Zewan on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in the outskirts of Srinagar on Monday afternoon. At least 14 police personnel were injured in the attack, three of whom were reported to be in critical condition.
According to official sources cited in the report, the gunmen’s attack injured 14 police personnel, who were subsequently admitted to a hospital. The area was cordoned off and a search operation was underway to apprehend the attackers. At the time, there were no reports of any arrests.

Our research found that the video being shared on social media is not recent but dates back to December 2021. During the reverse image search, we found the same video on The Kashmir Today’s Facebook page, where it was posted on December 13, 2021. The viral portion of the video is also present in the original 58-second clip. According to the report, the Ambani family once again hosted a Ganpati celebration.Several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, attended the event. Photographs from the celebration were also shared on social media. During our research, we conducted a reverse image search of different keyframes from the viral video. However, we did not find any credible media report or other authentic source related to the incident. However, during our research, we found some social media posts featuring the same video. These posts have labelled the video as AI-generated content.

Our research found that the video being shared on social media does not depict a real incident. During our research into the source and context of the video, we found no credible information supporting the claim. Furthermore, an analysis of the video using AI detection tools also confirmed that it is AI-generated.

CyberPeace Research found that in the original video, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was responding to a question about Pakistan’s announcement of a 7 million Pakistani rupee bounty on Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar. Jaiswal addressed the announcement during the regular media briefing held on September 15, 2026. In his response, Jaiswal said that such announcements by Pakistan were not new and that the country should take concrete action against terrorism. However, the video being circulated on social media has been digitally edited using the original footage to falsely suggest that a reporter had questioned Jaiswal about eating nuts.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, the situation in West Asia, the safety of maritime routes, and the need to ensure peace and stability in the region.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi thanked Iran for its regular and high-level participation in BRICS-related meetings. He also thanked President Pezeshkian for participating in the Leaders’ Session of the BRICS Business Forum. Conclusion
Our research found that the viral claim is false. The video claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s feet and thanked him for providing cheap gas, oil, petrol and diesel to India is AI-generated and does not show a genuine interaction between the two leaders. Our research found several visual inconsistencies in the video. The findings were further supported by AI detection tools, with Hive Moderation identifying a 98% probability of AI generation, while Sightengine indicated a 99% probability. Furthermore, the official information released by the Prime Minister’s Office regarding Modi’s meeting with Pezeshkian contains no reference to the Prime Minister thanking Iran for providing fuel at cheap prices. Therefore, the video is being circulated on social media with a false and misleading claim.
