What Was DevFest?
DevFest was GDG’s annual, globally distributed conference — a community-led technology event that brought together developers, tech enthusiasts, and industry experts to learn, share, and collaborate on emerging technology trends.
Through hands-on learning experiences, technical talks delivered by experts, and interactive networking sessions, DevFest attendees explored opportunities for collaboration, skill development, and innovation within the tech community — all accompanied by exciting ice-breakers, cool giveaways, and engaging challenges.
What Was DevFest ‘25 All About?
DevFest 2025 was Google’s annual global developer festival, organized by Google Developer Groups (GDGs) across the world. It united developers, students, startups, and tech enthusiasts to learn, share, and celebrate technology.
The 2025 edition focused on empowering communities to build with AI and Cloud technologies, fostering innovation through scalable and ethical solutions that shape the future. Each GDG chapter hosted its own DevFest, featuring talks, workshops, hackathons, career booths, hiring opportunities, and networking sessions — making it both a global movement and a local celebration of learning and collaboration.
