India is now online more than ever. This has put us in risks and opened us many opportunities at the same time. Awareness is the key to stay safe and make the most of the internet.
The Cyber Peace Foundation has been working continuously to facilitate a safer cyberspace. In continuation with these efforts, we plan to celebrate Cyber Peace month in February, 2019.
As part of the Cyber Peace month. We have planned various events that will be both informative and set a platform for exchanging ideas. The activities will help with awareness and also let participants voice their opinions and concerns related to cyberspace.
The round table conference on cyber psychology will focus on how and why cybercrime is committed, and also touch upon the aspects of investigation and laws. Chai Pe Charcha is another event that will provide a platform for discussing important issues that affect all. We also plan to organize awareness trainings specific to different age groups and also for Law Enforcement Agencies.
Other than awareness trainings, we also plan to organize nukkad nataks that will help spread awareness on the various risks we face when online. We will also be launching posters that have been created on awareness and cyber hygiene, in collaboration with Tik Tok.
For students we will be organizing competitions in the following categories:
We will be also be hosting a half marathon and triathlon dedicated to the Cyber Peace month. Our other activities include online quizzes which will be hosted on various social media platforms. The movement doesn’t end with the Cyber Peace Month. We will also be training volunteers to take forward the initiative to spread awareness and educate all on online safety and related topics. This will help the volunteers spread awareness in their circles and take forward to baton the make India a digitally literate country.
A rally has also been planned at the end of the Cyber Peace Month.
