On International Women’s Day 2021, CyberPeace Foundation launched two campaigns, #CyberPeaceForWomen and #SuperCyberWomen to celebrate Women’s History Month and to ensure continued discussion of women’s safe access to the Internet. In #CyberPeaceForWomen, we asked experts working in the technology policy domain to help us arrive at suggestions that can assist in sustaining our collective vision of building safe cyberspaces for women. In #SuperCyberWomen, we celebrated the women who are working in the domain of cybersecurity tirelessly by laying strong foundations for inclusive cyberspace. These women have inspired millions of people to sustain the conversation on cybersecurity in India. In Building Safe and Inclusive Cyberspace for Women on 31st March 2021 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, we would be discussing the following –
-Identifying key gaps in the legal and policy environment in India with respect to online harassment, and cybercrimes against women;
-Identifying ways in which the aforementioned gaps can be addressed by civil society organizations, state and social media platforms to arrive at a holistic approach to ensuring inclusivity and safety in digital spaces;
-Identifying approaches through which more stakeholders can be involved in addressing these issues.
